Program Description
  • AM & PM REC are for youth in grades K-8 as of September 2018.
  • The programs are generally offered Mon.-Fri. from 9am-12pm or 1-4pm.
  • Included are 4-45 minute activities: Arts & Crafts, Gym/Playground, Sport of the Week, and Swim Lessons.
  • The order of activities is TBD by grade level in Fall 2018.
  • The cost is $30/participant for the six week Summer session.
  • Check calendar to confirm special event dates and times as well as exclusions.

Arts & Crafts
  • Projects May Include: Animal Creations, Magic Foam, Nature Crafts, Paper Mache', Recycling Projects, Sand Art, and more?!
  • The program is offered Monday-Thursday; the time is TBD based on grade level.

Gym/Playground
  • Activities May Include: Agility Ball, Capture the Flag, Four Square, Hop Scotch, and more?!
  • The program is offered Monday-Thursday; the time is TBD based on grade level.

Sport of the Week
  • Sports May Include: Baseball/Softball, Basketball, Field/Floor Hockey, Flag Football, Golf, Lacrosse, Soccer, and Tennis/Pickleball.
  • The program is offered Monday-Thursday; the time is TBD based on grade level.

Swim Lessons
  • Program Includes: Instruction on the six levels of swimming as outlined by the American Red Cross.
  • The program is offered Monday-Thursday; the time is TBD based on grade level.

Trips & Special Events
  • Separate registrations are needed for fee based field trips. Please add them to your cart along with your Summer Rec Programs.
  • Please note: To register for these extra trips and events, youth must already be registered in the AM or PM REC Program.
  • Some excursions are walking trips, others require a drop off at the location listed, and out of town destinations include school bus transportation.
  • Due to space constraints, the number of participants is capped as follows: youth = 51 and staff = 10 for a ratio of 5:1.
  • Please note: Registration for field trips also starts on Monday, June 4th.

  • Week #3: Sport - Baseball/Softball; Character Trait - Honesty; Field Trips - Bison's Game & Newstead Library/Russell Park
  • Week #4: Sport - Lacrosse; Character Trait - Passion; Special Event: Fun Run for Gateway @ Vet's Park
  • Week #5: Sport - Soccer; Character Trait - Respect; Special Event: Rec. Olympics; Field Trip - Buffalo Zoo
  • Week #6: Sport - Field/Floor Hockey; Character Trait - Service; Field Trip - Darien Lake Theme Park
